today is my first “bridal friday” post – similar to blue tuesday post but instead of being blue & on a tuesday – its all about my favourite wedding photos i have taken over the last few years…..why i like the image & why the image works (in my opinion)!!!
it may or may not be of use to any perspective bride or groom (for ideas) or even a budding photographer …..but i thought……as i am a talker and a photographer and i love weddings it would be a good post to start….(ill keep it light!)
so here is goes…..
i thought i’d start with a shoe photo….this is one of my favourites (not taken on a window sill – for a change), i love the neutral colours in this photo – the shoes are simply sitting on the veil in the bottom third of the image with the remaining negative (blank) space framing the image. i like negative space – it concentrates your mind on the area in focus….i also like vignetting (ie the darkening around the edges) – as this also focusses your mind on the object – the shoes!
