OMG……what a wedding it was last weekend…well worth the early morning & drive to duns. the venue set in the grounds of wedderburn castle & surrounded by countryside was just perfect. myself and my assistant, annette (thank you annette for all your help), arrived a wee bit early to the sound of music drifting from the courtyard – what brilliant accoustics!! tia’s uncle, brother and other family relations were singing live at their wedding ceremony and were practising before everyone arrived.
this natural woodland themed wedding was full of surprises & quirky details from the handmade decorations & napkins, to the mushroomed filled table jars, to the hessian carpet which lead tia up the isle to a flower filled courtyard full of her family & friends and of course paul. this day was full of love, sunshine (some perfect high cloud for photographs – i was in my element!!), laughter and a whole lot of fun. tia&pauls family & friends all helped with organising and participating in this wedding…….paul’s sister laura made the delicious naked victoria sponge wedding cake….yum! tia’s sister-in-law hand made her beautiful veil, tia&pauls’ mums both handmade the wedding cloth which was used to tie their hands together during the ceremony and lots&lots of their friends helped in decorating the venue beforehand!!
a wonderful wedding, it was a joy to photograph & a pleasure to be at (i photographed paul’s sisters wedding, laura&scott, last year – so i already knew half the wedding party – so it was really like meeting up with old friends again!)…….thank you guys….JXX
