a couple of weeks ago, i just had a few single crocuses flowering in my garden…now that the temperature has risen a bit….i have a sea of crocuses covering huge areas of my lawn and pathways. what a versatile, happy bulb this is….the flower is constantly changing according to whether the sun is out or not. closed when cloudy and open when sunny. I’ve never planted these bulbs…..they just seemed to have appeared over the years and spread across my path, vegetable plot and any bit of open grassland.
definitely a worthwhile spring flower to have…..JX
